We purchased the property Greystone in Hope Cove in Devon in late 2009. The property is a bungalow, originally built in the 1960’s, and was a timber frame type of construction.
We needed to update the property to improve the insulation, provide ensuites in three of the four bedrooms and update the heating and electrical installations.
Jim Woodley of Direct Property Services was recommended to us and they designed a plan that exceeded our expectations. After some discussions we entered into a contract with Direct Property Services encouraged, not only with their design, but the price they offered together with their attention to detail.
During the construction phase we were particularly impressed with:
- The attention given to the property’s temporary protection measures;

- The quality of specialists employed particularly the joinery work;
- Keeping not only to the programme but also to the price;
In the ten years since, with the property continually let as a holiday let, we have had little cause to ask Direct Property Services to return to make good any defects.
